Anthony Castiglia, age 99, of Sarasota Fl., formerly of Clarence Center, NY., passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Loving father of Dennis (Lynette) and Mark (late Patty) Castiglia. Cherished grandfather of 5 and great-grandfather of 7. Anthony was predeceased by his loving wife Josephine (nee Ippolito) Castiglia, who passed away in 2016.

Anthony was born in Buffalo in 1923. He was a vocational teacher in the Buffalo High Schools for over 25 years. He was a WWII Navy Veteran who was deployed as a submarine mechanic. Anthony loved ballroom dancing, winemaking, bread making, and was an avid wood carver and painter. He was still carving and painting well into his 90’s.
