Obituary of Charles Wagner

Charles D. Wagner (“Doug” to family and “Chuck” to friends), of Lockport, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born on December 30, 1935, in Salyersville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Rolla W. and Genius (nee Marshall) Wagner. Doug proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 – 1958. He retired from Guterl Steel and enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing cards, playing poker at the casino and bowling.
Doug was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary White Wagner in 2009, grandson, Christopher (Nicole) Wagner in 2020 and three brothers and three sisters. Doug is survived by sons, Douglas (Jeanne) Wagner and Robert J. Wagner; granddaughter, Heather (Pete) Dellefave; great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Doris Kovacs, Jean Wagner and Juanita Wagner, brother-in-law, Robert White and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Sunday, Oct. 15th from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery. Condolences may be offered to the family at langefuneralhomeinc.com.
