Obituary of Gary F. St. Onge

Gary St Onge of Lockport, NY, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, in Mercy Hospital of Buffalo. Born on June 24, 1949, in Lockport, he was the son of the late Joseph St. Onge and Lila (nee Criswell) St. Onge Rose. He retired after 34 years as a Millwright from Buffalo Paperboard/Domtar. Gary was President of Local 1195 for over 18 years, was Sargeant at Arms of Niagara Orleans Council since 1981, a member of The Moose Club and The Elks Lodge. He received “Labor Person of the Year”, he volunteered for the letter carriers, rang bells for The Salvation Army and participated in “Make a Difference Day” and “The Day of Sharing”. Gary enjoyed crossword puzzles, crypto, sudoku, jumble and camping. Most of all Gary loved his family. Gary is the beloved husband of Cheryl “Cheri” (Annalora) St. Onge; father of Natalie St. Onge, Gary Joseph (Lori) St. Onge and the late Dawn St. Onge Smith; grandfather of Savanna Page, Madison St. Onge, Dylan Iadicicco and late Justin Murphy; two great-grandchildren; Anastasia Cease and Shane Cease, Jr.; brother of Kathy (George) Apolito, Daryl (Mike Gancasz) St. Onge, Jeffrey (Mary) St. Onge, late Joseph St. Onge and the David (late Judy) St. Onge; Uncle of several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law of Kenneth (Colleen) Annalora, Rob (Barb) Annalora and Richard (Carol) Annalora Friends may call on Wednesday, Oct. 25th from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
