Lenny J. Bonavito Obituary

Lenny J. Bonavito 70, of Lockport, NY passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at home. Born on December 4, 1953, in Kenmore, NY, he was the son of the late Josephine (Manno) and Leonard Bonavito. Lenny served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1972-1973. He was a retired Quality Analyst for General Motors Powertrain in Tonawanda. He enjoyed woodworking, music and playing the guitar.


Surviving is his fiancée, Maureen Wendt; four children; Lauren (Billie) Scarborough, Kiel Bonavito, Kristen (Kevin) Hogan and Gabrielle (Todd) Ribas; one sister, Cher (John) Burgher; several grandchildren including Evan Bonavito, Kaden and Emma Scarborough and nephew, Blake Burgher. He was predeceased by his parents, and nephew, Brad Burgher.


A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday December 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM at All Saints Parish, 76 Church St. Lockport. Memorials may be made in Lenny’s memory to the Dale Association, 33 Ontario St. Lockport, NY 14094 or Niagara Hospice Inc. 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094.
