Daniel J. Knight died at his home in Lockport, NY, on July 2, 2024, at the age of 54.

The son of David H. Knight and Thelma M. Walker, Dan was born on July 10, 1969, and grew up in Lockport. He attended Lockport Senior High School, Niagara Orleans BOCES and Canandaigua Community College.

Dan served in the New York Army National Guard, working as a heavy equipment operator in the 152nd Engineer Battalion. He was honorably discharged in 1997. Dan worked in construction and started his own business, Regal Construction Company. He later ran his own lawn care business in the Woodlands, where he lived. He was a past member of the Empire State Regional Council of Carpenters and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.

Dan was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his dogs, especially Champion and Champ Jr.

Dan is survived by his brothers Andy (Helene) and Chris (Kate-Lyn), several nieces and nephews, and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Funeral services will be private.
