Mary P. Schaefer of Lockport, NY, passed away on Saturday August 22, 2009 at home. Born on September 24, 1932 in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of Harold and Mildred Dunham Charles. Mary was a member of the St. John the Baptist R.C. Church. She enjoyed gardening, loved life, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Charles R. Schaefer, on November 18, 2002, and her daughter Patricia (Stuart) Wolf. She is survived by her son, Robert (late Cindy) Schaefer of North Tonawanda, her daughter Barbara (Kenneth) Walter of Kenmore, eight grandchildren, Sara, Peter, Chelsea, Philip, Jennifer, Brian, Melissa and Stephen, four great grandchildren, Shawn, Emily, Nathan and Scotty and one sister, Marcia (Frank) Clayborn of AR. Friends may call on Monday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY where a funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc.
