Obituary of Ruth Ann Bartholomew

Ruth Ann Bartholomew, 85, of Lockport, NY, passed peacefully at home on Saturday October 19, 2024. Born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on January 23, 1939, she was the daughter of Charles and Eleanor Ruth (McDowell) Hofmeister. She graduated Valedictorian of her class in 1954 from South Broward High in Hollywood, Florida. After high school, Ruth worked in the medical field as a medical assistant and later as a nurse aide. She was employed at Briody Health Care Facility as secretary to the Director of Nursing and retired from there after 25 years in 2005. Ruth was an active member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Lockport for many years. She enjoyed playing the organ and spending time with her family. Ruth is predeceased by her husband, Bob, and son, Bob, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Grace of Ormond Beach, FL and Kathleen of Lockport. Ruth had 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Ave., Lockport.
