Alla Karbanovich of Lockport, NY, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, in Niagara Hospice House. Born on July 15, 1957, in Minsk, Belarus. Alla was the daughter of the late Simon and Sophia (Zimmerman) Shakhnovich. She was a hair stylist and owner of Salon of the Future in Brooklyn, NY for many years.
Alla was a kind, creative and gentle soul. She made everything special for her grandchildren. They were her medicine. She was “the star” and enjoyed family gatherings and shopping.
Surviving is her husband, Gennadiy Karbanovich; two sons, Dennis (Viktoria) Shakhnovich and Alex (Maya Kosumova) Tenshov; grandchildren, Matthew and Nicole; sisters, Inessa Melikan and Anna Sokolov; niece, Victoria Shakhnovich and five nephews.
Her funeral service and burial will be private.
