Obituary of Mary W. Clark

Mary Wasson Clark Clark, Mary Wasson of Lockport, NY passed away peacefully at Briody Health Care Facility on Wednesday October 28, 2009 after a long illness. Born on April 25, 1927 in Lackawanna, NY, she was the daughter of Samuel D. and E. Fern Holmes Wasson. Mary was a 1944 graduate of Lafayette High School and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1948 where she majored in Humanities and minored in Political Science. She was a member of the Alpha Rho chapter of Delta Gamma. Mary was a buyer for Hengerer Department Store, where she worked until her marriage in 1955. During the early 1970’s, she became a real estate agent for Bewley Realty earning her broker’s license and opened Clark-Nodine Realty with Patricia Nodine. Mary loved art and volunteered at the Kenan Center both in the gift shop and for the 100 American Craftsmen Show. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald L. Clark in 1984 and is survived by her children, Donald M. Clark, James A. (Michelle) Clark II both of CO, Nancy A. (Joseph) Clark-Breidenstein of Buffalo and Mary Anne Clark of CO, seven grandchildren, her brother, William (Betty) Wasson, D.D.S. of Lockport as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday November 7, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Grace Episcopal Church, 100 Genesee St., Lockport, NY. Burial will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery.
