Obituary of Elizabeth Swift

Elizabeth "Dolly" Swift Swift, Elizabeth "Dolly" of Lockport, NY passed away on Monday, November 2, 2009. Born on August 6, 1915 in Hamilton, Ontario, she was the daughter of James and Katherine Waldron Swift. She was a life long resident of Lockport. She retired from her position at Mt. View Hospital as a supervising Registered Nurse on February 29, 1972 after 31 years of service. Miss Swift began her employment with the former Niagara Sanitarium in 1941 as a registered nurse. She became a charge nurse of the Pediatric Unit at the Sanitarium in 1946. She is survived by a niece, Sharon A. Swift of Clarence Center, two nephews, James A. Swift of Maryland and William J. (Gina) Swift of Pennsylvania and two great nieces, Stephanie Marie Swift and Allison Elizabeth Swift, also of Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her brother William H. Swift and her two sisters, Mary T. Swift and Kathleen Rooney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 11:00 AM from All Saints Parish, 76 Church St.,Lockport, NY. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.langefuneralhomeinc.com.
