Obituary of Vicki A. Chormann

Vicki Chormann of Niagara Falls, NY, died Friday, March 19, 2010 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Dr. Victor and Eulalie Pellicano of Niagara Falls, NY. She is survived by her daughter Kristin Chormann (Sven Vahsen), her grandson, Peter Vahsen of Oakland, CA., her sister Susan (Thomas) Hughes of Lockport, NY, nephew, Teran (Cinnamon) Hughes, and two nieces Aurora (Giovanni) Villa, and Bridget Hughes. She is also survived by her dear friend Lucille Wojick. Vicki was a loving mother and grandmother who especially enjoyed traveling to California to visit her daughter, son-in-law, and dear grandson Peter. Vicki received her RN diploma from Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing, Lewiston, NY in l966. She was a surgical nurse at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital from 1966-1970, a pediatric nurse for Dr. William McMahon in Niagara Falls, NY from 1975-1995, and an RN for Rivershore, Inc., Lewiston, NY from 1999 to the present. She was well loved by all at Rivershore, Inc. Family and friends may call on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 1:00 PM from St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport, NY. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm and Carlton, Buffalo, NY 14263, or Rivershore, Inc., 765 Cayuga St., Lewiston, NY 14092.
