Chet & Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad, May the concern and sympathy of those who care help you through this difficult time My thoughts & Prayers are with all of you. Although we are friends of Howie, we can only imagine what a wonderful man his father was. Howie is an amazing, caring, loving, gentle person, and I am sure his father is very proud of him. His grumbling always helped me go off to work with a smile on my face. Dave, Chet & Howie made Chet's the only place in town for me and MANY others. I'm so very sorry for his loss and wish you strength and, eventually, peace in knowing he is no longer suffering... To the Secrist Family, Will always remember going to Chet's (aka."The Dog House")on a Saturday morning as a young boy; and my father chatting it up with Dave behind the counter. Quintessentially jovial and accommodating, he always had time for conversation - even while cooking up a storm. I once asked him at age 7 why the waitress was angry with me. He said that she's not angry, and actually liked me although, she has a different way of displaying it. I sat there perplexed. My father never laughed so hard... There's no doubt Dave will be missed however, he's in a much better and peaceful place now... So sorry for your loss.You are all in my prayers & cherish your memories. ;
