Showalter, Sally G. of Lockport, NY passed away on Wednesday February 29, 2012 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born on October 18, 1927 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Sanford S. and Julie Payne Gooding. She was a graduate of Stephen’s College in Missouri and married her late husband, Arthur H. Showalter on May 3, 1952. Mrs. Showalter was a former volunteer for the American Red Cross and for Meals on Wheels and was a past president of the Lockport Junior Service League. Predeceased by her husband, Arthur H. Showalter, in 2008 and her sister, Jean G. Hunnicutt; she is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Peter) Clark of NH and Judy (Steven) Slabyk of Middleport; five grandchildren, Andrea, Samantha and Alexander Slabyk and Abigail and Julie Clark and her niece, Linda (Christopher) Church. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 327 High St., Lockport, NY. 14094.
