I retired from NMPC in 2002 after 36 yrs. I worked in the claims dept for 30 yrs and had the greatest respect for Bill. He taught me many things over the yrs but most importantly to deal with people personally. I never knew a person who had a bad word to say about Bill and 10 years after he retired people would still ask about him all over Western N.Y. Bill was a man who I admired and feel privileged to have been his friend. I am so sad at the passing of another old friend and fellow worker.My association with Bill goes back to his scherrifs time and I often tell stories of the good times we had at NImo he was a great guy and will be missed by all. It was a close association I enjoyed with Bill in the late "60s and well into the '70s in Niagara Mohawk's Western Division HQ in Buffalo. Bill was most dependable and had the ability to quickly analyze and assess the most difficult security problems. He was a key member of our staff. To Bill's children, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of your grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I am very sorry to learn about Bill passing away last week. I worked with him at Niagara Mohawk and will long remember him as a good friend and fellow employee. Fran Furlong and I will miss our frequent visits as well as Dr. Durangrat Kathalae from Nakhon Rataschima, Thailand. Was always good to be greeted with an eternal smile. Furlongs father and uncle were friends from the LPD days. You will be missed...Dick I met Mr. Redmond only a few years ago. He was a freguent guest at the art receptions held at Market Street Art Center. I always enjoyed his conversations. He entertained us with his wit and intelligence. Most of all I remember the sparkle in his eyes. It was clear he got the most out of life. For myself and for the other artists here at the center, we will miss him. My sympathy to Bill's family. I remember him well, and spent many good times with him. He will be missed by all who knew him. Sincerly, Roy M. Scheifla My thoughts and prayers are with you. Growing up next door, Mr. Redmond always treated me well, and I recall times he was there to listen and advise. My condolences to family and friends. We will miss talking to Bill when we stop at DeFlippo's. He was a welcome sight at the Telephone Co. garage where I first met him many years ago. A hard worker, fun guy who both my husband & I really enjoyed. God Bless to all. ;
