We are so very sad to hear about Mr. Pete’s passing. He was a huge part of our Ihop family. We seen Mr. Pete almost daily. He would come in for a cup of coffee and to tell us about his upcoming train schedule or cancellations. Sometimes to talk about his polar express (Or whatever train we couldn’t keep track) that keeps breaking. Would give us updates on Aj, Chip and Dave. And always on any upcoming appointments or days where he wouldn’t be in so we didn’t worry. We knew he was taking a trip and he told us he be back in a few days. Mr. Pete had his very own table at Ihop that no one else sat in. He had his favorite servers and was always happy to break in some of the new ones. He will truly be missed by all as he was a part of our family too.

Pete loved his trains and I will always remember that his favorite was the American Flyer Polar Express. At the shows we had in Elizabeth City he would take the time to explain to everyone the Polar Express train the details about the train. We in the Atlantic Coast S gaugers will miss his enthusiasm and interest in the hobby. Most of all we will miss Pete.
