Dear Jim, Alexis, Mom, Lakota and family,
I am heartfully sorry for your loss.
Our friendship is from the YMCA pool. As I got to know Lesley we talked about many things (all of you), day to day things, trips, "Blues Cruises", the doors she designed on the ships, cooking, baking, hair, etc, she was also a good listener, funny and to describe her "a force of nature" seems appropriate. She loved the arts I learned more about them and appreciation for them from her. Lesley loved you all and you were the center of her world. She would be comfortable in any situation and a great lady. She kept herself busy, productive and a contributor to all her causes.
I am so sorry for your sudden loss. She is missed by many. Every time I get in the pool or hear Dolly Parton I see her face and hear her voice. She made her presence known in my life and I am thankful for that.
Words are hard to find for her loss. I know she would want us all to go on for her. She is with us always.

I was so sad to hear of Lesley's passing. I knew Lesley when she would come to Buffalo General Hospital to sell her jewelry. I would always stop and she would always have a special piece of jewelry that she would want to show me and I would usually buy that piece of jewelry. I will think of Lesley when I wear all the pieces she helped me with.

Lesley was an amazing mentor and friend. She taught me a lot in my time with her. She helped me find my confidence and I can still hear her telling me to fix my grammar of dress better for the weather. She really helped me find my way. The picture is from when she took me to build a bear for the first time. It is a great memory

Lesley had a way of bringing people together in a creative way. Sure am sorry I didn't make it to this past year's Dolly party. Lesley turned me on to the Blues, 'love ya Tab'. She not only made awesome cookies, but delicious ice cream. Leslie's parties were one-of-a kind (chuckling as I remember them all). A great supporter and always great conversation. I got to know Lesley at the Lockport YMCA. She was a regular at water aerobic classes. Lesley was always friendly and keen to start a conversation. She frequently mentioned her travels, mentoring, and Santa Claus collection. Such an interesting person. May your memories console your family.
