Obituary of Lesley L. Mucha

Please share a memory of Lesley to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lesley L. Campbell Mucha, 72, of Lockport, New York passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 10, 2023 after a short stay at Buffalo General Hospital. Lesley was born on September 25, 1950 in Lockport to David Campbell and Donna (Burt) Campbell. She is survived by her husband James, daughter Alexis, mother Donna Campbell, sister Karen (Randy) Crissman, and brother Scott Campbell. A graduate of SUNY Oneonta; she worked in retail for many years in Fredonia and Lockport primarily for the Peterson Drug Co. and Love of Pete. She was the successful founder and owner of Small Indulgences for over 25 years. Known as the “Jewelry Lady”, she will be incredibly missed by her loyal clientele. Lesley was a woman of many accomplishments and interests. Anyone lucky enough to be the recipient of her delicious baked goods, giant cookies, and homemade ice cream will long remember the culinary gifts she passed along. She gained such pleasure knowing she added a little sweetness to the lives of others. She wished to be remembered for her “big fat cookies”. Lesley’s skills as an event planner rivaled those of the professionals. She was a gourmet cook, a phrase applied too often, but richly deserved by her. Meals in her home were delightful events. Parties were elaborately themed with fabulous food, drinks, and games. Business events were filled with her wonderful cheesecakes. She loved to change her décor with the seasons, so there was always something new in her house. To be Lesley’s friend was a special gift and blessing. She possessed a tremendous generosity of spirit, and provided help and support in many thoughtful ways. As a guest in her home you were treated to specific foods and activities she knew you would enjoy. She treated each visitor in such creative, bespoke ways. The void left by her passing is unfathomable by those who loved her. She disliked wakes and funerals, so there will be a celebration of life, April 29th at 80 Main from 1-4. Memorials may be made to the Lockport Public Library (23 East Ave) or Youth Mentoring Service (86 Park Ave), as she was a devoted mentor to Lakota Freeman. Planting flowers in your garden and enjoying their beauty as they grow would also be a fitting memorial to her life. Condolences may be offered to the family at langefuneralhomeinc.com.
